Yes, It's *Still* Up!

Happy Sunday ... Happy Spring !!

Yes, our Christmas tree turned Valentine tree, turned Easter tree is still alive and kicking in our kitchen.  I wonder how long I can keep it going ...

For a Spring welcome, I wrapped it in pink and white mesh, along with a striped pastel ribbon.

I then added lots of fun and budget-friendly ornaments, like this cute bunny, with a head full of feathers (from Pier One)!

And, this sweet bunny in a basket, from Michael's.  I also bought an inexpensive bunch of flowers from AC Moore, cut off each floral stem and scattered them about the tree, as well:

A carrot with fun feathers (also from Pier One) ...

I flanked the tree with a couple of ceramic bunnies that I had on hand ... this one reminding you to "see no evil" ...

annnnnd, the other reminding you to "speak no evil," either.

I filled our handy canisters with yummy Easter treats:

And, over on the other counter, added another splash of Easter:

Love this little, pink bunny from Michael's, who is nestled on shredded book pages (although, admittedly, I feel as though I'm suffocating him under the glass cloche) ...

Annnnnd, of course, I had to add a few pastel malted milk balls to a wine glass on one of our shelves ... I'm hoping that since they're high up, I won't be tempted to eat them!

Just a few little splashes of Easter ...

Thanks for stopping by, sweet friends!

Come party with me at these fabulous gatherings!

There, *THAT'S* Better ...

Greetings, friends!  For those of you who were sweet enough to peek at our master bedroom mini-makover last month, you may remember my mentioning that I had been looking and looking for a drum shade chandelier (to replace our ceiling fan), but hadn't had any luck.  Sweet Kim (Savvy Southern Style) sent me a link to one she found on Overstock.  I then received an email from Amy, a manager at Overstock, informing me of a sale!  And, wouldn't ya' know, the chandelier that Kim suggested was on SALE!  Say no more ... woo hoo!

Now, you see a big, overbearing, barely-used ceiling fan ...

and, NOW, you don't !!  Say hello to our new stylish gal, "Chandie" ... (of course, now, my OCD-self needs to change out the other shades to drum shades)!

I love her jewels!

How she glows at night ....

And casts fun shadows on the ceiling ...

Welcome to the family, Chandie ... we love you so much that we just might have to buy your twin for another spot in the house.  Hmmmmmm ... lol.  (Thanks again, Kim and Overstock!)

Easter Dining Room

Happy Saturday! Are you all pulling out or adding to your Easter/Spring decor this weekend?   I know I am!

I feel like I show you all the same rooms over and over again.   My apologies, and, well, why stop now, right?  LOL

Here are pics of our Easter dining room:

Soft pops of color have been added:

Cream speckled eggs and robin eggs (both from Pottery Barn) mix well with pink eggs (from Dollar Tree) and simple raffia.  I filled the hurricanes with inexpensive raffia from Michael's):

I traded out the animal print runner for a *Spring-y* blue one (from Home Goods) ... love the pop of color there:

And, you may remember these little fellas (from Pier One):

Speaking of blue ... I traded out a few of our white plates on the floating shelves and added ones with a bit of color (from TJMaxx):

Aren't they pretty:

I can't believe how much blue I'm adding around the house!

One last shot ... all lit up.  I can't tell you how much we love our new chandie, especially its reflection in the mirror!

Hope everyone has a great day ... we're off to kiddo's last basketball game and then "The Lorax!"

I Couldn't Wait ...

Well, it's officially March (yay) ... so excited about that ... not so much that I'll turn 43 tomorrow, but, that's okay ... nothing a bottle of Botox won't cure!  Kidding!

I know it's early, but, I'm feeling Spring in the air.  So, I thought I'd kick of March by sharing our Easter mantel:

I thought I'd really play up the pastel colors this year, starting by removing the red berry sticks in this vase (for Valentine's Day) ... they have been replaced by lush pink florals:

I found this cute bird cage at Michael's, so I placed shredded paper, along with a bird's nest in there ... all of which I placed on top of a glass cake stand (from Wal-Mart):

Front and center are a few more ca-ute(!) bunnies from Pier One ... they were so reasonably priced.  If you see them, you better grab a few up before they are gone!

Moving on over ... I placed soft pastel eggs in a glass apothecary and layered a sea fan behind it just for a bit of unexpected texture:

And, you may remember how I wrapped red ribbon around my candles for Valentines as an inexpensive way to add a splash of color ... no surprise then that I wrapped Spring ribbon around them now for the season!

Up above hangs a festive egg wreath I recently scored at Home Goods ... let's hope it doesn't come crashing down on my sweet bunny family!

Annnnd, just *look* at the fun "SPRING" banner I found at Target ...

Down below, I added a pastel pillow from HomeGoods to the chair ... I need to wrap burlap around it though:

I'm sure I'll tweak this a bit more before the Spring parties start, but I just couldn't wait to share!

Before you go, I simply *have* to add a shameless brag about my sweet (and, now 6!) kiddo!  Today was "Storybook Character Day Parade" at his school, and, in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, he chose to be the "Cat in the Hat" (although, in this pose, he's more like "Ninja Cat in the Hat," lol) ... he led the parade with another young cutie ... proud Mommy, fo' sho' !!

Happy *almost* Spring, friends ... have a great weekend!
