Okay, as much as I'm *not* a fan of rainy days, it's getting rid of our pollen, which has taken over ev.er.ee.thing! I'd show you a picture of our screened in porch, COVERED in yellow *snow,* but it's so thick, you'd probably come down with a sinus infection just looking at it! So, bring on the rain!
Just a few pics of our mantel decked out for Spring ... I'm on the hunt for a fun wood vintage sign to take the place of the "Les Fleurs" print:
Vase from Tuesday Morning filled with real branches and faux florals:
Still lovin' the little eggs (from PB) tucked in the Spanish moss:
Love wrapping plates with twine! And, okay, so the card nestled in between the twine is more for Fall; however, I do think that it applies right now, too ... seasonal "allergies" maybe ??? (lol)
It's fun to bring out the silver:
And, yes, my accent chair is another victim of BM White Dove! I really like how it turned out (although, I do plan on distressing it a bit) ... the gold fabric really pops now. And, of course, I had to add an envelope pillow with the same gorgeous zebra fabric that is now on the barstools.
Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to showing you more changes ... like this fun mirrored table I recently scored!
Have a great day!

Gorgeus mantel Becca! I adore the print and branches. I wonder what kind of sign you will find? I can't wait to see the mirror piece.
ReplyDeleteIt looks stunning so far.
I hear you on the pollen. I sneeze all day long and it get's annoying. It is rainy and cold today. What happened to spring?
Happy Sunday to you!
~Melissa :)
PS Twelve weeks down. (You know what I mean.) Can you believe it?
Gorgeous and I love seeing more of that great zebra fabric!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mantel and I love the mirrored chest. As for your pollen issue, I can so relate. It is still winter here in Jerseyland but for the entire month of May our wraparound porch is off limits due to the inch of yellow stuff that takes over. .....and I love the twine covered white plate. I will need to be copying that one if you don't mind!
ReplyDeleteMarianne :)
Oh Becca your mantel looks gorgeous for Spring. I really love the silver too.

Becca, I know what you mean. I feel like I spent the entire weekend in a Benadryl induced coma! Thankfully, we're supposed to get rain tomorrow. The mantle looks great. I love the little eggs. The chair is FABULOUS!!! I just love the fabric & the envelope pillow.
ReplyDeleteBeatuiful mantle Becca, and I love that vase from Tuesday Morning! It is rainy and dreary here too, but everything is turning a little greener with every rain drop so YAY! Have a great one.
ReplyDeleteBecca, I love your mantel no matter what season! I have to tell you that your mantel is my inspiration for one in my living room. I still haven't convinced hubby yet....he loves his wood stove! I'm still working on him.

Beautiful mantel Becca! We have the same pollen issue... last year my screened in porch was covered like yours (and I found it hard to clean) ... this year I have vowed to stay on top of it... hopefully I'll keep that vow! LOL!

ReplyDeleteBecca I adore what you are putting together. Isn't it fun!

Oh no, all that pollen. Good thing the rain is washing it away. My eyes are red just thinking about it :) Your mantel is beautiful, Becca! I love the deals you can find at Tuesday Morning. Great looking mirrored table, too. They add a lot of fun to a room.

Becca,
ReplyDeleteThe pollen is something else! Everything, e v e r y t h i n g here is covered in a greenish/yellow yuck. My car is so sad even though it's in a covered space. We've really needed this rain even though it feels like fall again. :-)
Your mantel looks great and I LOVE the envelope pillow! Did you make it? The mirror piece looks amazing ~ can't wait to see what you do with it.
Have a great week!
xo
Pat
Great looking mantel! You know your mantel is my favorite!!!! (I'm over-the-top, super excited about your news on the fall mantel!!! yeah)
ReplyDeleteThank you for showing your chair. I have one that I've been thinking about making over. I always need a little inspiration to get me moving. he he
What tree/bush did you get your branches from?
That mirrored table looks amazing! What a gorgeous piece! And I love eggs and tags tucked here and there! It's a fun way to change things up! ♥
ReplyDeleteO, I had forgotten WHO had this beautiful fireplace surround..mantel. It has always been one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteWe have pollen problems here, too, and need rain in the worst way. Sooo dry.
I thought I was a follower but when I checked, I wasn't. So sorry...but, I am now. :))
Hi Becca, I just found your blog and I love it! Did you make that zebra envelope pillow by any chance? I just made zebra print pillow covers for some pillows on my couch and now seeing your pillow I think it would be so cute if I threw in a couple of envelope pillows done with the same fabric.
ReplyDeleteThis looks terrific - I am so happy for the rain to wash away the pollen - doesn't bother me - but it sure gets to my husband and children!
ReplyDeleteKathy
So lovely! You've inspired me to give my mantels some attention.
ReplyDeleteAnn-Marie
I love your mantel, Becca. The vases and little eggs are spring fresh. The moldings around the fireplace and ceiling are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mantel Becca!!
ReplyDeleteHi Becca~ What a sweet and beautiful spring mantle!! Love your vases with the branches - something about twigs! I just love that look~ and thelittle plate with twine is so charming! Silver is a favorite accent of mine too- I can't seem to get enough of it and always keep an eye out for more pieces. I cannot WAIT to see and hear about your mirrored chest... I would LOVE to find one!! :) Hugs, Courtney
ReplyDeleteHi Becca! Love your blog! And YOU have the beautiful house! Boy did I love your dining room transformation! As a fellow allergy sufferer I hear ya about the rain...but as someone who hasn't seen the sun in about a year...Bring on the SUN! It's a mixed bag for sure *winks*
ReplyDeleteAll your shots with eggs have motivated me to add some to my decor. Love them at your house! And that little boy of yours is the cutest! Vanna
What a beautiful mantel Becca! It rained last night and most of the day today. I just heard we still have more coming :( I am so fortunate that pollen never bothers me at all. My husband used to have asthma and allergies from all the smog in SoCal, but the pollen doesn't bother him here! So happy for that!
ReplyDeleteLove to see your touches of spring! I have a weakness for fat birds and nests with eggs myself. Thanks for stopping by Red Hen Home!
ReplyDeleteYour mantle decorating is second to none, Becca. I love the little touches you add. I keep meaning to bring in some branches from our garden. I love the extra dimension they bring.
ReplyDeleteSarahx
"Seasonal" allergies! I am still laughing!
ReplyDeleteYour mantel is beautiful. I especially love the arrangements in the vases. The eggs look so pretty encircling the branches. So simple and yet so stunning!
Can't wait to see your new find!

Your Spring mantle is lovely. I really like the branches with the flowers. The envelope pillow is so cute & fun. In my past life, when I had a sewing workroom for designers, I made so many variations of that style pillow. I'm so glad it's retained its popularity. It was always one of my favs to make. Happy weekend, Becca!
ReplyDeleteCAS

ReplyDeleteMariaelena
Hi, Becca! I'm new to blog land, and I wanted to tell you that I just love your site!! I'm officially one day old. LOL!! Your house is gorgeous, and I see that we both seem to be addicted to Pottery Barn!! I am in L-O-V-E with their Heirloom silver, and I see you are, too. I have those same spreaders in a chippy creamer on my island. I also am in love with wine corks, which I see you have quite a few of as well. Just wanted to say "hi" and tell you I love your home!
ReplyDeleteTake care!
