Spring Mantel ...

Okay, as much as I'm *not* a fan of rainy days, it's getting rid of our pollen, which has taken over ev.er.ee.thing!  I'd show you a picture of our screened in porch, COVERED in yellow *snow,* but it's so thick, you'd probably come down with a sinus infection just looking at it!  So, bring on the rain!

Just a few pics of our mantel decked out for Spring ... I'm on the hunt for a fun wood vintage sign to take the place of the "Les Fleurs" print:


Vase from Tuesday Morning filled with real branches and faux florals:


Still lovin' the little eggs (from PB) tucked in the Spanish moss:


Love wrapping plates with twine!  And, okay, so the card nestled in between the twine is more for Fall; however, I do think that it applies right now, too ... seasonal "allergies" maybe ???  (lol)


It's fun to bring out the silver:


And, yes, my accent chair is another victim of BM White Dove!  I really like how it turned out (although, I do plan on distressing it a bit) ... the gold fabric really pops now.  And, of course, I had to add an envelope pillow with the same gorgeous zebra fabric that is now on the barstools.

    Gorgeus mantel Becca! I adore the print and branches. I wonder what kind of sign you will find? I can't wait to see the mirror piece.
    It looks stunning so far.

    I hear you on the pollen. I sneeze all day long and it get's annoying. It is rainy and cold today. What happened to spring?

    Beautiful mantel and I love the mirrored chest. As for your pollen issue, I can so relate. It is still winter here in Jerseyland but for the entire month of May our wraparound porch is off limits due to the inch of yellow stuff that takes over. .....and I love the twine covered white plate. I will need to be copying that one if you don't mind!

    Love the spring decor! And I love how your chair turned out. All the trim in my house is done in that color of white and it really is such a perfect white. Love that mirrored chest!

    Becca, I know what you mean. I feel like I spent the entire weekend in a Benadryl induced coma! Thankfully, we're supposed to get rain tomorrow. The mantle looks great. I love the little eggs. The chair is FABULOUS!!! I just love the fabric & the envelope pillow.

    Beautiful mantel Becca! We have the same pollen issue... last year my screened in porch was covered like yours (and I found it hard to clean) ... this year I have vowed to stay on top of it... hopefully I'll keep that vow! LOL!

    Oh no, all that pollen. Good thing the rain is washing it away. My eyes are red just thinking about it :) Your mantel is beautiful, Becca! I love the deals you can find at Tuesday Morning. Great looking mirrored table, too. They add a lot of fun to a room.

    Gorgeous mantle girl...love that vase and the branches and I have never thought of wrapping plated in twine...that is so pretty..our rained washed away our pollen also...our entire porch and furniture out there was covered...I washed it off and by the afternoon it was covered again! lol Hope you are having a great week...we are having a cloudy rainy week here....Picket

    The pollen is something else! Everything, e v e r y t h i n g here is covered in a greenish/yellow yuck. My car is so sad even though it's in a covered space. We've really needed this rain even though it feels like fall again. :-)

    Your mantel looks great and I LOVE the envelope pillow! Did you make it? The mirror piece looks amazing ~ can't wait to see what you do with it.

    O, I had forgotten WHO had this beautiful fireplace surround..mantel. It has always been one of my favorites.
    We have pollen problems here, too, and need rain in the worst way. Sooo dry.
    I thought I was a follower but when I checked, I wasn't. So sorry...but, I am now. :))

    Hi Becca, I just found your blog and I love it! Did you make that zebra envelope pillow by any chance? I just made zebra print pillow covers for some pillows on my couch and now seeing your pillow I think it would be so cute if I threw in a couple of envelope pillows done with the same fabric.

    What a beautiful mantel Becca! It rained last night and most of the day today. I just heard we still have more coming :( I am so fortunate that pollen never bothers me at all. My husband used to have asthma and allergies from all the smog in SoCal, but the pollen doesn't bother him here! So happy for that!

    Your Spring mantle is lovely. I really like the branches with the flowers. The envelope pillow is so cute & fun. In my past life, when I had a sewing workroom for designers, I made so many variations of that style pillow. I'm so glad it's retained its popularity. It was always one of my favs to make.
