Happy Halloween, everyone! Can you believe it's already here? I canNOT!
If you saw my house right now, you'd laugh because it's suffering a serious identity crisis! The outside is decorated for Halloween ... the kitchen has the beginnings of Christmas ... and, the sitting room has Fall splashed around. I almost feel sorry for it (and, me, lol)!
Before the leaves and pumpkins are put back into the Fall bins for another year, I snapped a few pics of our sitting room, dressed in blues, creams and pops of vibrant orange.
Glass cloches are often my BFF when it comes to styling ... they're the perfect way to showcase ANYthing, aren't they?
When I spotted "Mr. Owl" at Michael's, I just *knew* he had to come home with me ... esPECIALLY since he was on sale (40% off)!
Once again ... another glass cloche to the rescue.
I still can't wait to change out our chandelier!
Behind the loveseat, I added a sofa table recently picked up from a consignment shop. You know I love having another place to add a few goodies:
More pieces of orange found its way to our accent chest, too.
My favorite part of the day is when the afternoon sun shines in:
So, tell me ... is your house suffering an identity crisis right now, too?

ReplyDeleteLove your home, everything is so beautiful. To answer your question, yes my home has an indentity crisis too. My bedroom was changed over to Christmas yesterday, I have an undecorated tree in my entry hall only a short distance from my fall tree and my Halloween tree and my carport is stacked to the top with all my Christmas bins. This weekend is The weekend for me ......I can't wait.....love my Christmas decorations!!!
ReplyDeletefunny you should ask because it is. I am trying to finish my office and feel stuck, I decided to get the green out of my living room and can't decide what accent colors to bring into the space ....... Aren't you glad you asked!
ReplyDeleteLOL..yes indeed my house is suffering. I just tore down my Halloween mantel. My husband said, what are you doing today is Halloween. I said yes, but we won't be home tonight so whats the difference, I am moving on. I loved your sitting room, that color combo is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I also have a bit of decor disaray happening too. It has been overcast and raining for over a week straight so I didn't bother photographing our Halloween decor, I still have Fall stuff and a pile of Christmas ornaments I just posted about and bought. Luckily the trick or treaters will just see the Haloween stuff from the front door.
ReplyDeleteHa! Becca, I knew you were tinkering with Christmas over there! I've bought some things; but, I still have Fall up. It's tempting to start now; but, I have to wait for my girls to come home for Thanksgiving. It's our tradition. I loved seeing all of your Fall decor; but, I can't wait to see what you're doing for Christmas!
ReplyDeletehappy halloween to you too sweet becca! as usual, your house looks so pretty and fall-ish. i've been wanting to add some touches of orange too but it might be too late since it's almost time to decorate for christmas...can you believe it!?
ReplyDeletehope you're staying warm tonight!

Your sitting room looks beautiful. Can't WAIT to see your Christmas. XO, Pinky So sorry I haven't been here in awhile, I have been a LITTLE busy:):)
ReplyDeletePretty, decor becca! Identity crisis, you are so funny. LOL! :)

It all looks good to me, Becca. I don't even start Christmas until after Thanksgiving. One holiday at a time here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ... I luv the pops of orange against the white and blue. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I will add some Thanksgiving touches to the home, but the Christmas will have to wait until Thanksgiving weekend. Whew... tired just thinking of all I have to do :-)
Thanks for sharing your luvly home.
Cheers, Gee
My house is suffering from multiple personalities right now...in a state of confusion...but soon..all the personalities will become one...and will be singing songs of joy and cheer!...I love the crisp and fresh feel of your living room...so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy turkeys come out tomorrow. I can't do Christmas until after Thanksgiving! It has been ingrained in me!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Becca! No identity crisis here. I've got whatever I've got out saying Fall right now. I will wait until Thanksgiving weekend and then get the Christmas decorating going. I'm pinning away inspiration and have lots of ideas of what I'd like to do, but won't put it into action quite yet.
ReplyDeleteGirl you did it again, I LOVE everything about this room!! Gorgeous shots!! LOVE LOVE the blue chest and mirror!
ReplyDeleteThe pops of orange sure are beautiful! Love the orange throw! I unfortunately can't start my Christmas decorating until after Thanksgiving! :( We host a family dinner, and being that my home is an open floor plan, the oranges and browns of fall, just don't go well with the pretty green, reds, and silver of Christmas! Oh well! ...can't wait to see your Christmas decor! :)
ReplyDeleteBecca, I make up a word for that years ago... "Crossholidation"... when 1~ holiday decor is put up before another holiday is done or 2~ when more than one holiday decor is displayed together. I am hoping that it will end up in the dictionary someday.
ReplyDeleteYou crossholidate better than anyone I know!!!!

You really take the color scheme seriously here Becca with minimalist theme and contemporary furniture that displays a royal look due to orange and white in its large space for a bright and inviting look. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteNo it's not because sadly I haven't been decorating for the holidays. I need to start!!
ReplyDeleteI am wondering where you got that white china case? I am in love with it!
