Spring Has Hit the Kitchen!

Ahhhh ... I love smell of fresh, *faux* flowers, don't you?!  Spring has arrived in our kitchen.  Come on in ...


A few LOT of pics to share (sorry):


My little Spring-filled cloche:


A beautiful chicken wire tray from PB serves as the base for this little vignette.  I've been eyeing it since last Fall, but wasn't going to pay $34.  So happy to have found it on sale last month for $14! 


Couldn't pass up on a cute rooster print from Dollar General for only $3.  Who knew?!




Love adding color with these:


A lamp which I added twine to the shade for an added bit of texture:



Mr. Big Rooster (formerly gray) got a coat of BM White Dove, too.  He sits perched on one of our soffits:


The chalkboard that we made for our pantry door got a fresh coat of chalkboard paint and addition of a grocery list (with my favorite chalk ink markers).  "Triscuits" are an inside joke, as they are a staple in my diet. :)


You know I have to have a bit of animal print in here, too ...


Can never have enough glass canisters (or Keurig coffee, according to my hubs):


And, the formerly gold frame was also a victim of BM White Dove.  Please just tell me to put.the.paint.brush.down!

    Hi Becca! I'm lovin' every little detail in your kitchen. The glass with the silver, the urn with the cooking utensils, and the freshly painted rooster are oh so nice!
    Ahh...the fresh "faux" flowers, they are perfect for those who suffer with seasonal allergies so badly this time of year.

    I love the touches of spring! That cloche is too cute with the little ruffle edge. I've been thinking for a while about lightening up my living room. I have rooster similar to yours in a dark grayish-brown... and now I know he will look equally fab in some creamy white! I love the chalk board pantry door too! I just might have to steal that idea. Okay, that's a whole lotta love in one comment. lol

    LOVE your kitchen! It's a dream to have a spacious kitchen...I don't right now. Where do you find the glass canisters? Honestly, I look and never see them.

    I just bought a Keurig and tried it out this afternoon. The coffee tasted like metal ~ so disappointed! :-( I did everything the instructions said and not sure what's going on. Any advice?

    My friend, your kitchen is GORGEOUS!!! It looks especially pretty all dressed up for spring! I love the pretty spring vignette that you created for the kitchen island...sooo pretty! Of course, the cloche with the sweet nest and eggs is just precious! Nothing says spring like a pretty nest and eggs!!! Love your faux arrangement too! Girlfriend, I almost go completely faux at my place...where flowers are concerned. Living in Colorado doesn't allow alot of time for fresh flowers, I would be constantly buying them. Love, love, LOVE your chalkboard door! I would love to do that but alas...I don't have a door in my kitchen! Hehe! I sooo enjoyed all of your beautiful bright and light spring touches, dear lady!     Wow, sorry I haven't popped in in awhile & have some catchin' up to do. Your kitchen is so pretty. You really know how to add just the right touches. The newly painted rooster looks great, as do the newly painted & recovered barstools. Love that animal print. Like the new look for the mudroom, too. I love bead board & that was a great touch in there. It's sweet that you have designated frames for your little guys artwork so you can change it out. Really like your command central area. You've been really busy. Everything looks terrific as usual.
