Happy Friday !!
Some of you may know that I've been looking for a vintage kitchen scale for-EVA! I've scoured our local antique stores all summer ... looked online, but couldn't find one I liked anywhere. Then, I realized why ... because my friend, Kim, at Savvy Southern Style has ALL of them! LOL.
SEE ... look at those beauties on her soffit. She probably put them up that high so that I couldn't sneak over and easily "snatch" one!
I love her collection, for sure and, apparently, my subtle hints didn't work because one didn't show up in my mailbox with a Georgia postmark on it! Darn.
So, I was thrilled to have *finally* found one on Ebay ... it's fairly large.
And, I love its rustic look:
Can't wait to add something fun on top and to find the perfect spot for it ...
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
hehehehe...and just imagine if we lived in Atlanta, we would never be able to score anything LOL! Kim has a great collection. I have one cool red one my Step Dad found for me, and I love it. Have a great weekend Becca.
ReplyDeleteOooooooooh I didn't even know I wanted one until I saw how cute they can look!!!! Must have!
ReplyDeleteThat's a perfect scale! I love how rustic it is too. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLove it Becca! I have had a hard time finding one, too. Then bam, my junkin partner, Tonia, picked two up and gave me one. I went to the Nashville flea market last week end and fell in love with one very similiar to yours and walked away because I thought it was too much. Rebecca from Walnut & Vine was there and started talking to the lady, and actually it was half price, so I grabbed it up!!! Two in one week, that's what I'm talking about :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Becca, Kim must of been sleeping and missed that one! Wait until she sees it! Now shopping for accessories for it, the fun never ends! Can't wait to see what you put on top. You could even display it on those beautiful magical shelves!

That Kim! : ) Love the one you got, Becca. Will it be debuting on your new shelves?
ReplyDeleteYour right Kim does have them all..LOL... I love the one you found.
ReplyDeleteAREN'T SCALES FUN! I love the look, I found one over ten yrs ago and it is still my favorite piece!
ReplyDeleteGreat find, Becca! I love vintage scales and other similar elements in a kitchen. They add so much instant character!
ReplyDeleteI've got an old white one for sale in my booth! Come on and get it. :D
ReplyDeleteI do love your though...very industrial!

You do look like you got a good one Becca. Kim has a nice collection and the space to display them! I bought a few for my etsy shop this summer after finding some bargains in New Hampshire antique runs. They sold right away~
ReplyDeleteScales are so much fun. They are not hard to find here at our flea markets/antique shops, but those vendors seem to know they are in demand and come with a hefty price tag. I did find an old Weight Watchers scale and scored for $2. I use if for weighing my packages before selling items on my etsy shop.
ReplyDeleteThat is a keeper! I love the old patina on it!
ReplyDeleteLove the scale!!!
