Happy Friday!
Can you believe that Halloween is only three short weeks away?
Well, to celebrate the upcoming holiday, it appears that bats, spiders, mice and skeletons have taken over our sitting room!
(**If you are viewing this post from your smart phone or tablet/ipad and the photos appear grainy, simply tap on the picture ... it will enlarge and become clearer.**)
Now, while I'm not a fan of *gory* Halloween decorating, I do love adding a whimsical spooky look, instead! How about you?
See, this little lady isn't scary! I mean, come on, she has a fancy hat to prove it, right?
As for seasonal art, you guys know I love easy (and free) projects ... it took all of five minutes to tape these cute felt bats to the picture frames.
Over on our mantel, I grabbed the tape again and mounted these paper bats to the mirror. I then added a couple of black trees, pumpkins, mercury candle holders and just a little pop of orange to finish it off.
This little black and white polk dot pumpkin adds a little more whimsy into the mix (yay for Target Dollar Spot).
And, as a finishing touch, I layered black/white buffalo check fabric over our existing white curtains.
Suffice to say, I think we're officially ready for Halloween ... well, except for candy. We tend to wait until the last minute to get all of that ... if we didn't, it would be devoured by my fellas, lol!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Becca
