As many of you know, the super talented sisters, Vanessa and Heather (of their amazing blog, At the Picket Fence), are the brains behind a fabulous Blogger Block Party that's going on right now!! Unfortunately, I'm a bit behind in participating, but the creativity I've seen linked up to the fun is beyond amazing! Be sure you visit!
Welcome to our dining room decked out in ... you guessed it ... silver and gold!
Starting with our chairs, I simply attached faux poinsettia sprays to the back:
Up on the table, I layered a mirror from Wal-Mart as my base and then added ornaments, candles and a glittery set of reindeer (from Cracker Barrel) (I also added crystals from Wal Mart after taking this picture):
Love the reflection of the candles in the mirror:
Simple place settings are done with silver chargers, white plates and silver and white snowflake plates (from Target):
Over on the buffet, I sprinkled lots of pretty faux snow and added my two fleur-de-lis urns, glass and more ornaments:
I added more snowflake plates on the shelves, along with snow tipped greenery:
Of course, I HAD to add a Christmas tree in here ... but, not just any tree ...
... a snow covered or "flocked" tree, as we like to call it. I was thrilled to find it at Wal-Mart for a super reasonable price!
It's COVERED in thick, beautiful *snow*:
Love the view from the kitchen:
And, okay, from the great room, as well!
As always, thanks SO much for stopping by!

Becca, one word.. Stunning.....Merry Christmas to you and your family...

Another gorgeous masterpiece Becca! I didn't do a thing in my dining room this year as it's been a "holding area" for Christmas projects and gifts this year. A lot of the things I've been putting together for daughter's house will be moved out of there today to take to her house for her hubby's b'day party tonight. I'll be pinning a lot of your ideas for next year!
ReplyDeleteI used silver, mercury glass, white & cream with a little turquoise thrown in on my mantel this year instead of my usual reds & greens and nutcrackers (inspired by you!). But I put my biggest nutcracker on the front porch for my little grandson Jackson who loves it!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Judy
Yes, I am, and thank you for that earworm this morning, Becca! : ) Your dining room is gorgeous! I love how you did the buffet. Perfect amount of decor on there. The tree is beautiful! I've been admiring the flocked trees this year. It fits perfectly in that corner, too.
ReplyDeleteOMG Becca your dinning room is absolutely beautiful and that tree is gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend,
Gail
Truly beautiful, Becca! I love the idea of the mirror on the table, & I have one of those & may give that a try -- I'm such a copycat! Oh, and thank you very much, now I have Burl's song playin' in my head!

Looks gorgeous Becca, as always :-) I love the tree, I've seen a few flocked ones this year and it's got me wanting one;-)
ReplyDeleteI loooove it!We are on the hunt for a flocked tree for an after xmas sale. I have my eye on one that looks very much like yours. I haven't seen them at Walmart here =(
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, you are too sweet my friend! :-) Secondly, oh my goodness that is one gorgeous room! I absolutely love your silver and gold (yes the song is now in my head too thank you very much) and that flocked tree is spectacular. Love the "candles" on it and it has such a glamorous vintage feel to it! Super clever to put the long framed mirror on your table and you are like a billboard for how to use things from Wally-world to make gorgeous creations! Well done girl! :-)

ReplyDeleteAbsolute perfection in my opinion! I adore silver and gold and you have captured it in a stunning display lady. The tree is beyond gorgeous! I thought about doing silver and gold this year but just didn't have the time or energy to start over. I have to say, this is one of the most beautiful, elegant Christmasy rooms I've ever seen!
