"Wintery" Sitting Room ...

Happy New Year!

Ahhhhh, Christmas is now officially packed away, BUT, that always leaves me stumped as to "what's next?"  New vignettes … colors … and arrangements invade my brain at full speed … can you relate?

In our little sitting room, instead of going "coastal" for the warmer months (that I WISH would hurry up and get here), I decided to keep the greens and browns and stay a tad "wintery" for now.

After the tree came down, I moved one of our garden seats in here to hold a few decorating magazines that always seem to distract me!

Before coastal birds fly over to our accent chest, a simple vignette sits there for now:

I took down the Christmas branches and added shed antlers and wintery churches to our bookcase:

Apparently, SOMEbody emptied the "cocktail" decanter … oops!

I couldn't resist adding one little piece of coral here … maybe it will chase this frigid weather away!

If "that" doesn't work, maybe these little teases of Valentine's decor going on elsewhere in our home WILL!

Just might have to splash a little bit of "l.o.v.e." in here soon, too!

Stay warm, friends, and thanks for stopping by!

It looks so pretty, Becca! Very cozy. I'm sitting here looking at a sort of plain kitchen right now and wondering if it's too early for Valentine's decorations -- so glad you cleared that up for me :)))) Happy New Year to you and your sweet family!

It's so funny - we're in the mid 30's (celcius) down-under :-) so wouldn't mind a bit of cold! I love the decor on your dresser - so pretty. Don't know about Valentine's Day but have seen hot cross buns in our supermarkets :-/ now that's wishing the year away!

I really like your design Bed room with sectional fabric Bed or leather sofa furniture. Well, I can also choose modern or classic bed furniture to make your bed room looks so beautiful. Well, I think if you are living in small spaces maybe you can design your bed room with minimalist decoration. Decorat Bed Room

Becca, your home does winter just beautifully. It's serene and soft and still the light pours in from the window. You can make white look cozy... a very hard thing to do! Just stunning, my friend!

How did I miss this? It is just beautiful, but should I be even a bit surprised at that -- NO! All of the white with the little pops of Valentine's decor is so very pretty.

Hi! just found you as I followed the Manchester Tan - I may use it for kitchen/dining room. I am decorating a sorority house and love the curtains in your pic that have the citron and brown/grey ..... is it citron? Where are they from? The girls would love these in their house.....green and red are their colors, so I'm trying to get a good combo that doesn't look like perpetual Christmas ! :) Thanks!
