Happy New Year!

I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday!  Do you have wrapping paper and empty boxes everywhere?  Are you stuffed from this past weekend's fabulous meals?  We are, for sure!  Jax is busy playing with all of his new "goods," and John and I are cleaning up (yuck).

Are you someone who opted to go with the "less is more" motto this season when it came to holiday decorating?  If so, I envy you right.this.second!   Yes, I have the lovely task of taking allllll of our decorations down and, lemme tell ya', this is NOT a part of the holiday season that I enjoy!

Sooooo, while I am preoccupied in lots of *mess* this week, I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year, and that I can't wait to see what trouble our decoratin' minds get us into in 2012!

  7. I guess I'm not understanding why folks are taking their decorations down already. The twelve days of Christmas are the days between Christmas and the Epiphany which is January 9th. Celebrate the season- it continues!

  8. Hi Becca,
What a *beautiful* family photo. Ok, I am in LOVE with your hair, so pretty.

I am, at the moment, taking all my xmas down. What a chore! Although, I am making progress, so that is good. Take down, clean, and then re-decoate! ;)

Happy New Year to your precious family! xo ~Liz

  9. Well my beautiful friend, here's to 2012 and all the wonderful projects it brings!

You know I don't envy you all that cleaning up after Christmas. I'm hoping I get my stuff put away before we leave town for the New Year. If not, I'll get to it "next year"!

    Happy New Year!

  10. How beautiful you are, and how handsome your two men are. What a great pic, Becca!
Yes, I did do less this year, but still a lot to take down and pack up. I usually start yanking down the day after Christmas, but hubby has begged me to leave it up until New Year's. There has not been much argument because I have been in the bed sick, so I wasn't able to take it down. He brought me a shot home yesterday, and it had decadron mixed in it, so I am up eating and playing at 3am! Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family!

  13. Absolutely gorgeous you ~ the photo is wonderful! I honestly do not envy you in taking down all the beauty you shared with us. I think I might run down the street screaming... :-) I didn't do much, however, now it's time to finish putting it all away. Seems it happened so quickly ~ not enough time to enjoy.

I'm on a mission to declutter too! I'm striving for more organization in 2012.

Happy New Year and tons of blessings to you and yours!

  14. Becca, you have a beautiful family. I envy you that you took the time to get everyone together for a photograph. It's been on my list of To-Do's for some time.

I rallied the family together yesterday morning and told them no one leaves this house until all the Christmas decorations are packed up and put away. All the decorations were put up in record time. lol

Happy New Years! May this year bless you with all that your heart desires. xoxo~ Carrie

  17. What a beautiful photo of you and your family!! I just finished getting all of my holiday decor put away from inside the house, but haven't started the outside yet. It has not been good weather to do that yet. I'm like you and don't enjoy the cleaning up part, but what goes up, must come down. Oh well!
