I know I share our sitting room over and over ... annnd, over ... with you, but, admittedly, it's the room I have the most fun with when it comes to decorating.
Maybe it's the neutral background or our white slipcovered furniture, which make any accent color I add truly pop!
Speaking of color ... this year, Spring means tossing in apple green and blue accents (like this faux fur throw from SteinMart, along with floral pillows from Pottery Barn):
And, while our bookcase stays primarily neutral for now ...
these little decorative eggs add just a hint of color:
Cute distressed bunnies (Target) remind me that Spring is finally here!
And, thanks to the varying shades of blue in the pillow, it "plays nicely" with our accent chest.
"An apple a day ..."
Speaking of apples ...
Isn't it a fun (and inexpensive) to add in real or faux fruits in a bowl or a tray to splash your chosen color around the room?
Of course, I have to add in coral to stay true to my love for coastal decor!
Speaking of coastal, I'm sure they'll be a lot more of that added in as the Summer months approach. Well, that's IF we haven't sold our home by then!
Thanks for stopping by!

It's a beautiful room, Becca, and I love seeing how you change it up. Love that green! That throw looks so soft.
ReplyDeleteHi Becca! I just don't have enough words to tell you how beautiful this room is! I love that you show it to us - I'm envious! I love that apple green you're using!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia;)
I love the addition of the green, it is fabulous. The brown chevron design in the bookcase also stole my heart. Gorgeous. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, marty
ReplyDeleteOh- I love it, Becca. That apple green color has been my favorite for YEARS. Even back in the 70's I had blue and green. lol
ReplyDeleteI have a white sitting room and about a dozen green pears (very realistic looking ones) in a pressed glass footed compote on my coffee table. EVERY SINGLE ONE of my grandkids has tried to take a bite out of one of the pears. lol So---either they LOOK as real as I think they do-or I don't have the brightest grandkids in the world!;>) xo Diana
oh I love the apple green too love it, you know what else I love.. neutral couches, so you can add any colour.. you know what colour couches I have.. NOT NEUTRAL!!.. ugh, I love love my couches and they were my splurge when we built the house. but now I realise have a hard time knowing what to put with them because they are pattened too.. ugh, I need to hire a designer.. it's been 3 years and I still have no window treatments up there, because I have NO clue what to do.. good job I back out onto miles of fields LOL
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Apple green is such a springy colour!
ReplyDeleteDD

Becca, this is such a pretty room! I love the way the green pops with the white slipcovers! It's one of my favorite rooms- I wouldn't want to leave!
ReplyDeleteBecca...I can view that gorgeous room over, and over, and over again as you always make such spectacular changes to the decor as the seasons change, or as you feel the need to get your impeccable creative juices flowing...I love apple green and it is so perfect for Spring. Great choice of color and love that PB pillow!
ReplyDeleteDid you paint the chest? Love this particular blue.
ReplyDeleteSo bright and cheerful!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
Such a pretty room! And so looking like Spring is here! I love the green. We share the same tastes in bunnies!
ReplyDeleteWow, what beautiful Spring colors, Becca! I have been lovin' shades of turquoise for quite some time, but the addition of the apple green is just so fun and refreshing!
ReplyDeleteI love the pops of color you've added to your sitting room. I know it's always fun to add some fresh color to a mostly neutral room every now and then. I like the apples used on the coffee table too. I'm a fan of green apples in decor.
ReplyDeleteBecca...Your room is beautiful! I love the chevron it's awesome! Can I just move in : )
ReplyDeleteI always love the changes you make to this room! Beautiful for Spring! XO
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous Becca. Love the splash of green and the blue chest!
ReplyDeleteThank you, "dresselfamily," ... and, trust me, if you want to change your look without having to purchase a new sofa, really consider a slipcover! That's what I have on my sofa/loveseat and wing chairs. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Donna ... I know your vibrant room is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteEliza, I'd love to have a matching comforter ... might have to check that out! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch, Christy!
ReplyDeleteBecca it looks gorgeous. I am betting someone will want to buy your house completely furnished. We practically did that in our Florida home. We figured if it was going to help the sale, then why not, the decor was not going to go with our new home anyhow. Of course, not everything, but a lot of it stayed with the house. Your home looks gorgeous dressed up for Spring!
ReplyDeleteAlways beautiful. I never tire of this room. It's amazing how a few peices can transform the room into a new season. Love the green and blue together. I just added those colors to my bedroom and bathroom. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous room! The green really makes it feel extra springy!

This room has had a lot-o-looks and I like every one. It's always fresh and new. I am diggign that cow hide rug and would love one of my own. The cab backs look awesome in the bold pattern girl. Work it ;)
ReplyDeleteI just saw your comment on FB. It will be nice to "know" another design blogger in the Fredericksburg area if you end up in Stafford.
ReplyDeleteHere is a secret that I have told NO one. I have some fake pears in a bowl in my dining room. I love that you are keeping your room so fresh and up to date! It's great!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the neutrals with the splashes of apple green in the room! Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteIt's fresh and beautiful! Love the lime with the white.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you enjoy this room so much. I too love white and often add monogrammed pillows with colored trim and initials.
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone could be sad in that room--it is so lovely and bright and welcoming! Would you mind sharing the paint color on the walls? It is the perfect cream!
ReplyDeleteAck! It's so, so pretty, Becca. You've used one of my fave color combos - blue and apple green. Nothing else seems to scream fresh and spring quite like those two colors combined together. Love your sitting room all decked out for spring!
ReplyDeleteLove your room-the neutrals, white, colors, chandy, blue chest. I'm going for this same look.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: is your sofa from Pottery Barn? Can you please tell me the specifics about it? You may email me when you have time. Thanks so much! Blessings, Karen
Just love the fabrics on the pillows and green throw - so fresh and inviting!
ReplyDeleteThis room is beautiful it is the epitome of spring time. Apple green was never one of my favorite colors but it looks lovely paired here almost on the chartreuse side of green. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI recently found your blog and I adore your living room. Would you mind sharing the paint color for that room? It's the perfect back drop.
ReplyDeleteThank you
Thanks so much, DRTVrMoi! The color in that room, along with the other "main" rooms is Ben Moore's Manchester Tan.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and bright Becca...love the pops of green and LOVE that gorgeous mirror!! Don't know how I missed this post?!?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Kahli!
