I Finally Got One!

Happy Friday !!

Some of you may know that I've been looking for a vintage kitchen scale for-EVA!  I've scoured our local antique stores all summer ... looked online, but couldn't find one I liked anywhere.  Then, I realized why ... because my friend, Kim, at Savvy Southern Style has ALL of them!  LOL.

SEE ... look at those beauties on her soffit.  She probably put them up that high so that I couldn't sneak over and easily "snatch" one!

Annnd, another (this one is my fave):

And, wait, ... there's one more!

I love her collection, for sure and, apparently, my subtle hints didn't work because one didn't show up in my mailbox with a Georgia postmark on it!  Darn.

So, I was thrilled to have *finally* found one on Ebay ... it's fairly large.

And, I love its rustic look:

Can't wait to add something fun on top and to find the perfect spot for it ...

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

  4. Love it Becca! I have had a hard time finding one, too. Then bam, my junkin partner, Tonia, picked two up and gave me one. I went to the Nashville flea market last week end and fell in love with one very similiar to yours and walked away because I thought it was too much. Rebecca from Walnut & Vine was there and started talking to the lady, and actually it was half price, so I grabbed it up!!! Two in one week, that's what I'm talking about :)

  11. You do look like you got a good one Becca. Kim has a nice collection and the space to display them! I bought a few for my etsy shop this summer after finding some bargains in New Hampshire antique runs. They sold right away~

  12. Scales are so much fun. They are not hard to find here at our flea markets/antique shops, but those vendors seem to know they are in demand and come with a hefty price tag. I did find an old Weight Watchers scale and scored for $2. I use if for weighing my packages before selling items on my etsy shop.
