MAGIC TRICK REVEALED !!

The other day, I showed you a "magic trick" of how we made our cabinet disappear.

It went from this:

To this ((*gasp*)):

Well, ABRA CADABRA ... have a lookie now !!

What I absolutely *lurve* about these shelves is that I built, painted and hung them all.by.myself!  Wooo Hooo ...

I couldn't wait to get them finished so that I could *play* by adding a few things I already had on hand (of course, I'm nowhere near done tweaking):

I was so excited to add two of the five absolutely gorgeous velvet pumpkins that I won in a giveaway hosted by my sweet and super talented friend, Lela!  She handcrafted these beauties herself (complete with real pumpkin stems).  She has a fabulous blog, which is, unfortunately, private ... BUT, I'm hoping one of these days, I'll convince her to go public so that you all can enjoy her stunning Tuscan home!  Thanks again, Lela ... so excited to have won!

Lastly, I placed my engraved cheese knives from PB, along with generic stemware in my glass canister for something different:

I'm so excited how it has opened the space up, too!  I'll be back soon to share the details of how I built them (in the meantime, please say a little prayer that they all don't fall apart and come crashing down).  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by ... and, come join me at these FUN parties:

Los the shelves. They look much better. They create space. If you asked my husband, he'd tell you that I am a super shelf nazi. If I could, all of our walls would be shelved.

Your shelves look wonderful. I can't believe you did it all by yourself. I'm impressed.
Now you have lots of places to display neat things. The jar with the cheese knives and glasses with the little pumpkins are perfect there..

Haha, you're as confident as me, Becca! I'm sure they won't fall! I love these. I wondered if you were going to do shelves of some kind. I've actually been thinking of this style for my laundry room. Right now there is a wire shelf the previous owner had up, and the entrance from the garage is right there. I'd like to make this area pretty and I want some shelving to have a more open look, too. I can't wait to see how you did it all!

Hi Becca, The shelves look great! Very impressed that you did that yourself. I put up shelves in my craft room and made a thousand holes! lol...I don't like to measure.

Glad you like Chase's room! The green walls definitely made it more challenging! Painting is still an option later on.

Oh, and I love the way you decorated your new shelves, they are perfect!! Kristen
