TGIF, friends !!
While I *should* be working on a list of productive things that I've been putting off long enough ... like, painting my son's bathroom ... working on his playroom ... cleaning the layers of pollen off of our porch ... and, cleaning out my closet, somehow, I find myself creating new vignettes around the house today.
A new *pinterest-inspired* vignette in the kitchen:
Garden balls on candlesticks, anyone?
I will never make "bean soup," however, I'll be the first to buy a bag of it to add color to my kitchen. Yes, I have issues!
IKEA x 3:
Annnd, a new roo admiring fancy, faux apples.
I know I'm not alone in choosing to do things that I *want* to do over things I *need* to do today!
I hope you all have a wonderful *non-productive* day ... like me! LOL
:-) Alas I am still here on my behind sipping coffee. Yup, what I want to do instead of should be doing. That is going through the master closet... Ay, ay, ay!!!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow will be here and I'll get it done . But today I'm sitting.
Shhhh.. Going back to peek at your vignettes.
Hugs, Gee
Your pictures are wonderful. I love them. Hope you have fun playing for the rest of the day. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteFortunately for me, the things I wanted to do over spring break were also things that needed to be done.
ReplyDeleteI love your vignettes and I would be productive today, but I have Leila.
ReplyDeleteAll the projects will be there tomorrow so go ahead and play! I love your vignettes.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie and have a great weekend,
Shelia ;)
OH my gosh -- so I'm not alone. LOL I feel so much better now. Love the vignettes! You're right -- you always find time to do the things you WANT to do. I understood this concept way back in high school when I did my nails instead of studying. These days, I'm just working with more grown up subject matters... well, okay, sometimes still my nails... LOL Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteLove all your pretty vignettes Becca! I have a school fundraiser that I'm in charge of next weekend so all my productivity is going into that LOL!! Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI think that sounds like the perfect way to spend a day, Becca, and your vignettes look lovely!
ReplyDeleteCarol
I like that you spent a day playing...you've given me some ideas!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
What fun to do something just for the pure joy of doing it, Becca. Good for you! Love your sweet pictures, too-xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWhen I can't get moving on a project I play around with some vignettes too...or I do a table setting! Your vignettes are so pretty!

Love you new vignettes!...and I love to place those faux topiary balls all over the house...on candlesticks, bowls, etc...love your new "Roo"...have a great weekend Becca!!
ReplyDeleteI'm the Master of Avoidance...if you need any improvement in that area, let me know! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so funny ~ I would not think of displaying the beans...I would be cooking them. LOL Looks great!
Everything looks nice ~ as usual. Hope you have a great weekend!
xo

I'm not sure how I found your site or how long I've been a follower, but I'm so thankful I did :) You are uplifting, a 'real' person :D and I always leave having learned something or feeling better about a decorating idea I did that I wasn't sure looked as it should. Thanks, Becca, for just being you and connecting with us. Hugs, Nancy
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way as you today. When I got home from work, instead of doing the housework that needed doing, I took down all my Easter décor and of course, that created empty spaces that needed new vignettes - so fun! I don't think it is a waste of time though as it adds so much to a home to have a new refreshed look! You've done a wonderful job and I enjoyed the displays you've created.
ReplyDeleteDD
Missed thi yesterday cause I was so busy being productive.............NOT!!! But we did host the Friday night social at the clubhouse last night and had a great time. Have a beautiful weekend. I love those garden balls and have soe around too. XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteSo, even when you're just "messing around", you're creating fabulous vignettes! Lol! Maybe I need to "mess around" here today!
ReplyDeleteIs someone messing you around about being in a relationship? Are they saying one thing but doing the other?
ReplyDeleteHaHa Becca. I'm just like you! Who wants the drudgery of cleaning when you can play instead! I love those little potted plants from Ikea. I bought three when I was there back in February, but I wish that I had loaded up on more! I want to see more of your vignettes, btw.
ReplyDeleteI love days like that! And your photography is amazing! Enjoy your day....because you, my friend, are a rock star!
ReplyDeleteblessings,
karianne

ReplyDeleteI like your new vignettes. I recognize those cute little plants from Ikea too. I remmeber seeing them there and liking them. I can completely relate to putting off what I don't feel like doing! Like right now. I'm reading blogs but I need to be cleaning the house! This is much more fun.
